I have lit almost a dozen Gala's for the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust. Most of these Gala's have happened on the Benedum stage. This took place at the O'Reilly Theater which is home to the Pittsburgh Public Theater. The space is a thrust space but as you can see we removed the side seating banks. Normally the evening goes from cocktail hour to dinner to performance but you can see the stage was home for the "cocktail hour" and then the patrons moved into the seating and a quick crew change for the artist Cyrllle Aimee. Her jazz set was fantastic and the crowd loved it. Nancy Byrnes is the creative director for all these gala's and we have had a great working relationship. Thank you Larry Rippel photography.
